[Southeast University News Network, Oct. 16] On Oct. 15 EDT, Mao Daqing, the founder of Urwork and an alumnus of Southeast University, was invited to attend 2019 Global CSR Summit in New York at the United Nations and was granted the “Global CSR Innovation Award” by UN. This award was established to recognize the companies and individuals around the world who have included the “incorporate corporate social responsibility into their core business strategy so as to accelerate the progress of UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals”.
Urwork was granted this prize for their participation in the comprehensive solutions to social, economic and environmental development issues to promote the sustainable development of cities and the construction of youth innovation communities, and assist partners from all over the world to move towards sustainable development. Urwork, as a joint office space operator in China, has been continuously promoting urban renewal since its establishment. In recent several years, it has reconstructed and upgraded a large number of inefficient properties to achieve more social values. Meanwhile, Urwork has served a large number of innovative enterprises in more than 200 communities, which has promoted the growth of youth communities in terms of cost, efficiency and convenience. Up to now, it has been developed to be a flourishing enterprise service community platform. This time, Urwork was granted the Global CSR Innovation Award by UN, which not only recognized its great contributions in the field of CSR innovation, but also demonstrated the corporate social responsibility and the mission of Chinese enterprises in the field of innovation.
Mao Daqing, an alumnus of Southeast University, the founder and Chairman of Urwork, studied at the School of Architecture at Southeast University from 1987 to 1991.
