Team from Southeast University Won the First Prize of the Fifth National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition

    The Fifth National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition(Shen Yang) was held at Shenyang Aerospace University from June 9th to 11th. There were 103 Chinese students teams from 79 domestic colleges and universities and 10 overseas students teams of 18 countries. The team from SEU won the first prize in the competition of S-shaped route. The team consisted of students of School of Mechanical Engineering Jiang Su, Luo Junwen, Wu Yanming, and they were instructed by Yang Yanqing and Luo Hao.

    The National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition is a national undergraduate technological innovation competition approved by Ministry of Education. It is sponsored by Ministry of Fiance, and held by Department of Higher Education. It is one of the most influential national undergraduate competition. The aim of the competition is to enhance students’ engineering practical ability, encourage innovation and teamwork, and promote students’ development.

    The competition consisted of carbon-free car obstacle crossing items of S-shaped route and 8-shaped route. Each team was required to design, produce, assemble, and test the carbon-free car independently, and write documents of cost analysis, technology analysis, and and business plan. The competition processes included obstacle crossing race, 3D printing, dismounting test, business plan evaluation, and project defense. The final assessment was given in terms of the comprehensive performance of each team.
