SEU Successfully Held the 2012 National Electronic Design Contest for College Students-Special Design Invitational Contest

        From August 28 to 31, the 2012 National Electronic Design Contest for College Students· TI Cup Analog Electronic System Special Design Invitational Contest was successfully held at the Electrical and Electronic Laboratory Center of Jiulonghu Campus, SEU.
        This invitational contest was hosted by the organizing committee of National Electronic Design Contest for College Students, organized by Jiangsu Education Department and Southeast University, and co-sponsored by Texas Instruments Inc.. Altogether over 110 teams from 58 universities such as Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications participated in the contest. After three days' keen competition, among them 11 teams won the first prize, 17 teams the second prize and 39 teams the third prize. 3 teams of SEU won, 2 teams getting the first prize and 1 team the second prize.
        At the closing ceremony cum prize awarding ceremony on August 31, vice president of SEU, Mr. Zheng Jiamao expressed his warm welcome to the evaluating experts and contestants, and also expressed his sincere congratulations to the success of the contest. Following his speech was the address of Mr. Wang Yue-chairman of the organizing committee and honorary president of Beijing Institute of Technology, Mr. Li Zhihong-former vice director of the evaluating center of Ministry of Education, and Mr. Chu Zimin-director of Department of Higher Education in Jiangsu Education Department.
       It is reported that all the contestants were required to use on-site equipment and components and finish designing an electronic system with certain functions within 36 hours at the race site of the Electrical and Electronic Laboratory Center. Many outstanding works emerged at the contest, showing the innovative potential of college students.
