Reasons for recommendation:

“Life has the sequence” and “Life is digital”. The book of life is written by four letters: A, C, T and G. Genomics and omics as driven by Genomics, are expanding or changing our understanding of life at an unprecedented rate and depth on the basis of large-scale sequencing and big data platform. Meanwhile, the flourishing development in the fields of biology, medicine and agronomy are profoundly affecting our society and lives. All of these originated from the Human Genome Project (HGP). In this lecture, we specially invited Academician Yang Huanming, a prominent alumnus of Southeast University, the main contributor who once participated in the International Human Genome Project in 1999 and highlights the international reputation in the field of genomics. He will introduce the origin, process and influence of HGP and omics, especially China's contributions in this regard, and interact with you to share his predictions and concerns about the development of omics and the future of mankind.
