Works of SEU Students Won the Highest Prize in the Fifth Chinese College Students Art Works Exhibition

From April 16th to 21st, the Fifth Chinese College Students Art Works Exhibition sponsored by Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Peoples Government was held at Shanghai. Two art works of SEU students were exhibited. Bringing in the Wine and ElHambo by SEU student choir participated in the vocal music performance, and recitation of Dedication to the Country by students participated in the drama and recitation performance. Both of the two works won the first prize in the exhibition.



In the afternoon of April 17th, Zheng Jiamao, deputy secretary of SEU Party Committee, visited student participating in the exhibition. He asked about their study and training, and encouraged them to learn from the exhibition.



The 40 members of SEU choir participating in the exhibition were elected from 80 members. Except for 6 art students, all of the members are ordinary students coming from different schools. The choir came to the first place in the intense competition in the preliminary contest and final contest of Jiangsu College Students Art Works Exhibition, and participated in the Chinese College Students Art Works Exhibition as the representative of Jiangsu colleges and universities. The recitation of Dedication to the Country is composed basing on meritorious deeds of Prof. Hao Yingli--an Excellent Communist Party Member who dead in line of duty and dedicated his life to Antarctic science investigation. Through conversation beyond space, time, and death, the recitation work displays Prof. Hao’s deep love for his family and noble loyalty to scientific investigation and our country.

Chinese College Students Art Works Exhibition aims at fully implementing education policy of our party, carrying out the fundamental task of high moral values establishment and people cultivation, developing quality education, improving education equality, and cultivating constructor and successor of socialism. The Exhibition is held every three years. The theme of this year’s exhibition is “ideality and faith”. There are four parts included: the artistic performance, college students artistic practice workshop, artistic work, and colleges and universities art education scientific research thesis seminar.
