Alumna of SEU Rong Fang Won The 2017 WiN Award

n August 29th, The 25th Women in Nuclear Global Annual Conference (WiN) was held in Beijing.The conference presented The 2017 WiN Award and WiN Honorary Award. The alumna of Southeast University, Chief Economic Manager of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, Ms. Rong Fang was presented The WiN Award for her contribution to the leadership, communication, and education in the nuclear field. Rong Fang is the only winner of The WiN Award this year, and she is also the first winner in mainland China.

The Women in Nuclear Global Annual Conference (WiN), established in 1992, is a global non-profit organization that aims to unite women in fields of nuclear energy, radiation protection, nuclear medicine, etc., and promote public’s understanding and support for nuclear energy. The organization currently has 41 clubs, and 25,000 members from 107 countries and regions. It is the largest women’s organization in nuclear field.

Rong Fang was born in 1963. She is a member of Communist Party of China. In 1985 she graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Nanjing Institute of Technology (SEU). She majored in Architectural Structure. For more than 30 years, she has been working in the nuclear industry. She has served as deputy director of Structure Department of The Fifth Research and Design Institute of Nuclear Industry, assistant to president and vice president of the The Fifth Research and Design Institute of Nuclear Industry, the vice director of Planning Department and director of Nuclear Electromechanical Import and Export Office of China National Nuclear Corporation, board chairman of Nuclear Industry Exploration and Design, vice president of State Power Investment Corporation and deputy chairman of Liao Ning Hong Yan He Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., director of Planning and Development Department of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, chairman of Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., general president of International Business Department of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation. She has been serving as Chief Economic Manager of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation since 2016.
