Seven Professors of SEU were selected into Changjiang Scholars Program of 2016

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of 2016 Changjiang Scholars Program. A total number of 440 people were selected as Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, Chair Professor and Young Scholar. There were 7 professors of SEU in the list. Southeast University had two Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professors: Professor Li Jianchun of School of Civil Engineering and Professor Sun Litao of School of Electronic Science and Engineering. Five professors were selected as Young Changjiang Scholars: Professor Cheng Qiang and Professor Jiang Weixiang of School of Information Science and Engineering, Professor Wang Hao of School of Civil Engineering, Professor Yu Wenwu of School of Mathematics and Professor Liu Pan of School of Transportation.

  

Changjiang Scholars Program, established by the Ministry of Education and Li Ka Shing Foundation, is a high-level talent plan which supports colleges and universities to enjoy the academic elite at home and abroad. The program was began in 1998 and it has cultivated a number of discipline leaders who have established international reputation. In 2011, the Ministry of Education adjusted the policy and carried out the new Changjiang Scholars Program with more funds. The program set up the Young Changjiang Scholar in 2015. Up to now, Southeast University has 45 Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor and Chair Professor and 10 Young Changjiang Scholar.
