On March 23rd, the final round of 2013-2014 SEU Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Competition, which was cohosted by Committee of Communist Youth League, Science and Technology Institute, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office and School of Economics and Management and organized by the Association of Student Entrepreneurs was held on Jiulonghu campus.

On the final round, each team were required to make an 8-minute presentation on the commercial value and forward planning of their programs and answer the questions from adjudicators on perspectives of product research, patent licensing, company running, personnel form, etc.. After a day’s competition, all the teams had received the sincere comments and guidance from the adjudicators. They are now eagerly waiting for the final results. It is learned that the top five teams will take part in the provincial level Entrepreneurship Competition which is held in Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in April and the national level competition in Huazhong University of Science and Technology in October as representatives of our university.

It is reported that since the opening of the competition in October 2013, more than 300 students have formed 40 teams and joined in the competition. After two rounds and a special symposium, 20 teams among the total stood out and entered the final round. In order to make a more objective judgment, the organizing committee invited bosses of investment corporations, entrepreneurs, and scholars to form the jury.

In order to make a better combination between excellent students and splendid programs, the committee made a major improvement and organized a symposium to make the competitors choose the research results from the Science and Technology Institute that interested them most. The improvement not only solved the problem for competitors of finding a satisfactory program but also made the research results more suitable for the market after the analysis and packaging of the student teams.
