主讲人简介：
DR.Qingping Feng obtained his MD from Southeast University Medical School，Nanjing，China in1983 and PhD in pharmacology from the University of Gothenburg，Sweden in 1993.Following his postdoctoral fellowship in university of Western Ontario, he held a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medcine, University of Western Ontario in 1995.Dr .Feng was an Associate Professor from July 2001 to June 2010,and was promoted to Professor in July 2010 in the Departments of physiology and Pharmacology, and Medicine,University Western Ontario.He is currently a senior scientist at Lawson Health Research Institute and a Career Investigator of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario(HSFO). His major research interest is to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of heart failure and cardiac repair post myocardial infarction.Dr.Feng also studies signal transduction mechanisms leading to cytokine expression and cardiac dysfunction in sepsis.He has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers in excellent journals including Circulation(IF,14.5),Diabetes(IF,8.5),Stem Cell(IF,7.7),Cardiovascular Research(IF,6.0),FASEB Journal(IF,6.4),Critical Care Medcine(IF,6.4),Journal of Biological Chemistry(IF,5.3) and American Journal of Physiology(IF,4.0).His work has increased our understanding on the role of nitric oxide in the regulation of cardiac function during myocardial infarction and sepsis,as well as mechanisms of cardiac repair post myocardial infarction.Dr.Feng’s research has been continuously funded by HSFO since 1995 and by Canadian Institutes of Health Research(CIHR) since 1997.
